For about 21 years people have asked me what they can do for their palpitations. What follows is a condensed answer.
On my Facebook Page, I also deal with this issue. One trend becomes quite clear. I'm not criticizing any single person here, but I am making a generalization about the comments and interactions I see on both this site and the Facebook page. This site is here to help people find the information they need to determine what is causing their own heart palpitations. It is not here as a babysitting site.
The Biggest Single Question for the Past 22 Years
I have heart palpitations and I feel like my heart is going to beat out of my chest. I feel like I'm going to pass out! It is scaring me a lot and I don't know what to do. It is ruining my life! What can I do?
The first thing to do is a no-brainer. You go to your doctor and report your conditions and experience with this issue. He/she will send you for a series of tests. They will analyze your blood, your cardiovascular system, your lifestyle, and your psychological disposition.
MOST of the time these doctors will report that your blood work is good, that your heart is fine, and that you are otherwise in normal condition. They will then tell you that it's all in your head. They will tell you to calm down and cut out caffeine and fatty foods. After that, they will prescribe toxic pharmaceutical drugs for you to consume – for the rest of your life!
You' will experience improvement for a while when taking these drugs. That is not because the drugs are fixing the problem. It is because they are suppressing the symptoms. Eventually, the problem grows and over-takes the conditions managed by the drugs. Now, you will need stronger drugs or more of them. Even if you choose to have ablation therapy, chances are that within a year you will be experiencing palpitations once again.
Okay! I Get It. So What Can I Really Do?
The first thing you do is ignore anyone who tells you that Coffee or Caffeine is your problem. Caffeine has very little to do with palpitations!
What you have to do is realize that no two people are the same. Each of us has palpitations for different reasons. Below is a list of the most common conditions that I have found to lead to palpitations. I arrived at this list by studying the problem for 22 years.
- Mercury poisoning – Mercury fillings in your teeth – Mercury in your vaccinations – Mercury in the fish you eat – Mercury in the Fish Oils that you consume – Mercury in your atmosphere and environment.
- H. Pylori – Helicobacter pylori infection occurs when H. pylori bacteria infect your stomach. This usually happens during childhood. A common cause of peptic ulcers, H. pylori infection may be present in more than half the people in the world.
- Sleep Apnea – Sleep apnea is one of the biggest and LEAST diagnosed triggers for heart palpitations.
- SIBO – Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth – This is often caused by people over-consuming probiotics. Once an overgrowth of bacteria occurs, it tends to run wild in the intestines.
- Failed Root Canals – Dentists will rarely admit it, but a very large number of root canals fail. It is nearly impossible to get the entire root out of the gum. As a result, over the years bacteria once again builds up in the body and affect the heart sinus rhythm.
- Teeth Bacteria from Lack of Flossing – Once again, bacteria is the culprit. Bacteria in the teeth secrete toxins as they metabolize their food sources. These toxins have a negative effect on the heart.
- Weakened Immune System – A number of things happen when you do things to diminish the capacity of your immune system.
- Dietary Deficiencies – leading to hormonal and enzymatic imbalances
- Build up of Internal Inflammation – if you are constantly seperated from the earth, you have no way of ever receiving earth's natural free-radical scavenging electrons. With the invention of rubber soled runnign shoes in the early 1960's humans were suddenly insulated from the ground. Since that time you can actually see the growth of disease related to inflammation on graph.
A person might have one or more of these conditions present in their lives. A single one of these conditions can lead to palpitations. What you do next could change your life forever.
I am not going to tell you to ignore your doctor's advice. I am going to suggest that you work with your doctor to discover your own personal triggers for heart palpitations. That said, if your doctor is not sufficiently trained in nutritional sciences, it could be a long and bumpy road.
Once you've done your own personal “Risk Assessment”, you can then start to make adjustments to your daily routine. In the following paragraphs, I will outline how people have addressed these triggers in order to control their own heart palpitations. In each of the categories below, I will identify supplements and mechanisms that you can use to make your body return to normal. Some of the links will be affiliate links or links to products that I've found and used on Amazon.
In the past ten years, it has become abundantly clear that mercury plays a significant role in the health and more specifically ill-health of humans. In point form, here is what people have reported doing to rid themselves of mercury toxicity.
- See your dentist and have all of your mercury filling removed and replaced with a more modern dental material that does not contain toxic metals.
- Stop buying cheap fish oil supplements form big box stores. We will recommend better alternatives shortly.
- Ensure that your fish comes from the arctic region of the oceans, and only consume fish three times a week at the most.
- Participate in a regular detox program to ensure your body remains free of mercury and other heavy metals.
For an excellent detox program that you should consider using once or twice a year, take a look at LiverMaster – from a company called Puretrim.
Another thing I would do is use Spirulina on a regular basis. Spirulina is often used by nuclear power plants to detox radiation from the water. This will help to keep your blood clean and pure.
A better choice of fish oil would be Fermented Cod Liver Oil
H. Pylori is a huge trigger for palpitations. Doctors rarely worry about it because about half of the population of the planet has it. That said, it is a factor in palpitations because of the toxins released by the HP bacteria. It is also a factor in ulcers and stomach cancer.
The test for HP is simple and fast. Once you get the test done, if you are positive for HP, the doctor will give you a package of 3 antibiotics to take over a 14 day period. You will start feeling much better after just three days however. The hardest thing is to get the doctor to order the test!
Sleep Apnea is another big fact and not one that most people think about. I never thought about it until my wife had the sleep test done. She suggested I get it done too! I laughed. But after the test, I found I was in worse shape than she was. I had 67 sleep interruptions per hour! The heart monitor showed that my heart rhythm was all over the place and very unstable. The machine was for sale locally, but way too expensive for me. I found it on Amazon at a fraction of the local cost.
This Sleep apnea machine change my life significantly. I now sleep 9 hours every night and wake up rested and healed! There are dozens of articles on the effects of sleep apnea on the heart for anyone who cares to research it.
Small Intestinal Bacteria Overgrowth is a little known but significant problem for many people. Women are more affected by this than men, and I think that is because women tend to use probiotics more than men and they take far too many probiotics. This always leads to issues. You can learn more about SIBO here.
People that I've spoken with who suffered from SIBO report that they had to modify their diet somewhat, and take some antibiotics for a short time. As well, they found HEALTHY DIGESTION worked very well. A similar product is sold by Dr. Gundry, but it is about 9 times the cost. For the best return on investment, we recommend Healthy Digestion.
Failed Root Canals
More than 25 million root canals are performed every year in the United States.
Root-canaled teeth are essentially “dead” teeth that can become silent incubators for highly toxic anaerobic bacteria that can, under certain conditions, make their way into your bloodstream to cause some serious medical conditions, many of which are often not appearing until decades later.
Dr. Weston A. Price is often referred to as “the world's greatest dentist.”
Dr. Price discovered that it’s mechanically impossible to sterilize a root-canaled (e.g. root-filled) tooth. He then went on to show that many chronic degenerative diseases originate from root-filled teeth. The most frequent being the heart and circulatory diseases. Dr. Price found 16 different causative bacterial agents for these conditions. But there were also high correlations between root-filled teeth and diseases of the joints, brain, and nervous system.
Dr. Price went on to write two groundbreaking books in 1922 detailing his research into the link between dental pathology and chronic illness. Unfortunately, his work was deliberately buried for 70 years, until finally one endodontist named George Meinig recognized the importance of Price’s work and sought to expose the truth.
In the middle of each tooth is the pulp chamber, a soft living inner structure that houses blood vessels and nerves. Surrounding the pulp chamber is the dentin, which is made of living cells that secrete a hard mineral substance. The outermost and hardest layer of your tooth is the white enamel, which encases the dentin.
The roots of each tooth descend into your jawbone and are held in place by the periodontal ligament. In dental school, dentists are taught that each tooth has one to four major canals. However, there are accessory canals that are never mentioned. Literally miles of them!
Just as your body has large blood vessels that branch down into tiny capillaries, each of your teeth has a maze of very tiny tubules that, if stretched out, would extend for three miles. Weston Price identified as many as 75 separate accessory canals in a single central incisor (front tooth).
Microscopic organisms regularly move in and around these tubules, like gophers in underground tunnels. When a dentist performs a root canal, he or she hollows out the tooth, then fills the empty chamber with a substance (called gutta-percha), which cuts off the tooth from its blood supply, so fluid can no longer circulate through the tooth. But the maze of tiny tubules remains. And bacteria, cut off from their food supply, hide out in these tunnels where they are remarkably safe from antibiotics and your own body’s immune defenses.
Under the stresses of oxygen and nutrient deprivation, these formerly friendly organisms morph into stronger, more virulent anaerobes that produce a variety of potent toxins. What were once ordinary, friendly oral bacteria mutate into highly virulent pathogens lurking in the tubules of the dead tooth, just awaiting an opportunity to spread. This is what ends up triggering hear palpitations in many people.
Tooth Bacteria from a Lack of Flossing
In the same what that the bacteria from failed root canals affect the heart, so too does the bacterial metabolites that result from bacteria between the teeth. One should consider flossing daily and gargle with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution and water every night!
Weakened Immune System
The worst thing you can do to your body is to do things that weaken the immune system. To ensure you immune system is in top condition, it needs to be regularly exposed to bacteria, viruses, and toxins in the environment.
The very essence of a vaccine is that it gives the body a tiny taste of the virus so that you will build an immunity to it. It is why children always play in the dirt and put everything into their mouths as toddlers. This is nature at work, helping to strengthen your child's immunity. It is why more people will get sicker than ever before if they fall for the “mask-wearing” scare tactics pushed by the leftists, and their media, who are trying to take down western civilization right now. A mask will guarantee that you are weaker!
Strengthening the immune system should be the topic of an entire new article down the road.
We are all creatures of habit. We are all usually busy with our lives. As result, we can often get into a rut when it comes to choosing the right foods to eat. Shopping for the proper foods that heal you is difficult, time-consuming, and sometimes expensive. What this results in is a dietary deficiency in pretty much all of us.
So, you have options. You either find the time to do it right, or you find a very good supplement. That is what I did. It took me nearly 50 years to find it, but the one vitamin supplement that I found that works from the very first day you take it is called PureTrim – Daily Complete. With over 194 nutritional supplements, this liquid vitamin is nothing short of amazing. If you try it just once, you'll be convinced too!
Build up of Internal Inflammation
This is the final topic I'll discuss today. Internal inflammation is caused by many of things mentioned above and is what ultimately takes us down. Inflammation leads to high blood pressure, anxiety, IBS, and a number of diseases, including the cytokine storm associated with the COVID-19 infection.
Apart from doing all of the other things right, the biggest plus that I found was to use “grounding” to lower inflammation. You can learn all about inflammation at Earthing.com online. I used to use their products, but in 2019 they jacked the prices sky-high as the concept of grounding took off. Today, you can find very affordable grounding equipment on Amazon. This grounding wrist band is my favorite. I sleep 9 hours a night with this band on my wrist.
You simply place this strap on your wrist and plug the single strand wire into the ground socket of any household plug.
When I started grounding, my blood pressure dropped from 145/95 to 128/75 inside of three months. The same thing happened to my neighbor. If you are prone to getting palpitations at night, then you may wish to give grounding a try.
This concludes my explanation about the triggers for heart palpitations. It is really just a condensed version of what I've learned by trial and error over the 22 years that I've been studying this health issue.
